.................... About Japanese Names
The names of sons in an old family were often very simple
Eldest, second, third ... Taroo 太郎, Jiroo 次郎, Saburo 三郎
Girls were named the same way
choojo 長女, jijo 次女, sanjo 三女
When a married woman lost her husband, she often shaved her hair and joined a monastery, taking on the name ending of NI 尼, nun.

This site is a must for poets who are thirsty for knowlege and want to learn more about haiku. Haiku is a Japanese poetic genre and must be better understood as to do so will improve your composition of haiku. Come here often.
There is so much to learn here.
